
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week just ended with lots of inspiration for Spring 2010. Hair has returned to the land of curls; its all about body and movement. Gracing the runways were big curls and texture, which correlated with the fashions being shown. Designers such as Diane Von Furstenberg, Etro, Derek Lam, and Vera Wang all featured these styles.
Achieving this look is quite simple with the use of hot rollers, or a curling iron. It’s important to section properly when you place your rollers or curls. Keep even tension; spray the hair strand with Davines Defining Glam Power Spray, then roll the hair strand around the roller. Ensure that your curls are parallel with each other when rolling up the back of your head. The direction you roll the roller will dictate how the curl falls. Rolling toward the face will narrow it, while rolling away from the face will open it up. If you want to utilize a part, part the hair and begin rolling from the ear toward the part. After the curls have set for 15 minutes, gently remove the rollers and style
. You can either use a Mason Pearson brush or any other boar bristle brush for waves, or use your fingers to break up the curls for a softer beach curl. If it’s necessary, use Davines Defining Invisible Styling Cream at the ends to polish off the look.
