Grey Coverage With Paola

Having grey hair is something everyone has to deal with at some point. There are a multitude of options on coloring grey hair. It depends on the coverage you desire and your lifestyle. Options range from temporary, demi-permanent, semi-permanent to permanent color.

Temporary color is perfect if you just have a few greys and want to blend in with your natural color. It gives great shine and camouflages the grey hair. It gradually washes out after 8 – 10 shampoos. If you want a little more coverage and longer lasting results, you would be a perfect candidate for semi-permanent color. For 75% more coverage that still looks natural, semi-permanent is perfect. I typically suggest this service for many of my male clients as it doesn’t look so obvious that artificial color has been applied. If you can’t tolerate seeing any grey, then permanent color will give you 100% coverage and will need to be retouched every 4 – 6 weeks.

For a look that is more pepper and less salt, highlights and lowlights can be added to camouflage greys. Creative results can also be created through paneling and foiling techniques. For example, if you’re happy with grey around your hairline or if you’d like to keep a grey streak, a section of grey hair can be  separated while color is applied to the rest of the hair.

Thanks to modern hair color and technology, there are many options and techniques for grey hair that will leave you looking beautiful and feeling great.
