Hair: The Constant Accessory By Jun Jie Du

We’re always looking to update our look, right? Well, what better place to start than with your hair?

We change out our handbags, shoes, and even jewelry on a daily basis so why not our luscious manes? See, hair is the one constant accessory that defines our personality. We can be edgy, conservative, creative or simple, but never dull.

Treat your hair the way you would treat any other wardrobe staple and make it a piece of your daily look. Going for a night out on the town? How about a sharp cut that is as bold as those new kicks you’re rocking out? Have a gala to attend? Give your hair a lift with a sleek updo that will dazzle even the smuggest of partygoers.

Don’t forget that hair, just like fashion, is always evolving and can make or break your persona. So don’t get caught with last season’s Prada handbag and definitely not with your mom’s teased-out do from the 80’s. Have fun with your hairstyle, but make sure it’s something that’s just not you. Wear your hair proudly!

Hair frizzed out? Oi boy! Debbie’s here to help…

With summer winding down, some of you out there may have some leftover frizz from the humidity we’ve experienced. Oi vey! Need a solution? Try an oil. Yes, an oil. I recommend Oi/Oil Absolute Beautifying Potion by Davines. This little wonder product will restore your hair’s natural moisture.

Oi’s unique benefits provide clients with long lasting shine and a soft finish. You can use the oil to un-tangle, un-frizz and un-do the damage done to your hair! And it smells good too. This special forumla contains Rocou oil straight from the Amazon which aids in the reconstruction and re-growth process with the use of anti-oxidants: yeah, the good stuff. Just gently massage 2-3 squeezes in the plams of your hands and apply to the lengths and ends of wet or blown-dry hair as a styling or finsihing product.

So what are you waiting for? Don’t let the humidity leave your hair in a frizz, come in today and let all your hairs “fall” into place with Davines’ Oi/Oil.

I LOVE HAIR!

Love affair with Fashion Week in SoHo by Thea Derecola

The streets were manic in front of the Dash store where the kardashians gave us a “full frontal” view…of their faces, that is. So, we chose to “dash” in the opposite direction into John Varvatos. Cristiano flexed his muscles for the team and the reward was a red carpet treatment!! We zoomed past the guest list and headed straight into the smell of leather and men’s cologne. We had arrived…AHH! The walls were laced with photographs of rock icons through the ages that John had styled himself. Fashion inspiration for the eyes.

After an amazing night, we headed south. There they were, dominating over us, the twin tower lights. Fashion week is more than just fashion, it’s a stimulation of the senses, it’s an inspiring art form. 9/11 and fashion will forever be linked.

Adding Color to Life by Ericka Rosero, I love hair

When I started working in this industry, I was torn between color and styling.  Even though these go hand in hand in the hair industry, it was important for me to become a specialist in one particular field.

Styling, in my opinion, is similar to architecture; it requires creating personalized shapes that will fit a client’s facial structure and also suit their lifestyle.  Being a colorist, on the other hand, is like being a chemist; it involves mixing and blending to create unique shades and hues that will give life and dimension to the architectural shapes created by the stylist.

After exploring my options within the industry, it quickly became clear to me that I was meant to be a colorist.  I love adding vibrancy to my clients’ lives!

I love hair.
