When I started working in this industry, I was torn between color and styling. Even though these go hand in hand in the hair industry, it was important for me to become a specialist in one particular field.
Styling, in my opinion, is similar to architecture; it requires creating personalized shapes that will fit a client’s facial structure and also suit their lifestyle. Being a colorist, on the other hand, is like being a chemist; it involves mixing and blending to create unique shades and hues that will give life and dimension to the architectural shapes created by the stylist.
After exploring my options within the industry, it quickly became clear to me that I was meant to be a colorist. I love adding vibrancy to my clients’ lives!
I love hair.
