Head Message Benefits. By Maria Tsaguriya. I Love Hair!

An important aspect of the salon experience is the relaxing head message you receive during the shampoo.  Some people are curious as to why they receive a head message.  Sure it feels great, but what are the benefits?

The mental health benefits of a head message help with relaxation of the mind and promotes a sense of calmness and peace.  It can promote clearer thinking and aids in memory and higher levels of concentration as well.  Physically there are a large amount of health benefits as well.  The benefits include a depletion in headaches and migraines, sinusitis, insomnia, increased oxygen to the brain and helping reduce asthma.  Most importantly scalp stimulation also increases blood circulation and promotes healthy hair.  Who doesn’t want more healthy hair?

The origins of head message start in India.  It is very popular in Hindi practice and is known as Chamissage, and is part of their alternative medicine massage therapy.  It was brought over to the west in the 1970’s by Narendra Mehta, who brought the benefits of head message all over Europe as well.

Come in to the salon and receive a wonderful head message and a great haircut.  212-414-1333.  What’s not to love? I LOVE HAIR!

Absolutely Beautiful Hair. By Claudia Weldon. I Love Hair!

Being a hairstylist at Cristiano Cora Studio in Manhattan, I am constantly looking for new hair products that are able to do a few things at the same time.  Many clients don’t want to deal with applying multiple products to their hair to achieve the desired effect.  I foud a multitasking treatment oil for universal use.  Oi/Oil: Absolute Beautifying Potion from Davines.

The special formula contains Roucou oil from the Amazon, rich in restructuring, growth-stimulating and anti-oxidant properties.  It has an untangling, anti-frizz and protective effect that reduces drying time, and leaves your hair with a soft and shiny finish that will not weigh your hair down.  It can be used on all hair types.  Fine or thick.  Curly or straight.

Just apply a small amount to wet hair after shampooing and conditioning, and blowdry the same way you always do.  My clients love it.

The Line is the Foundation of All Shapes & Designs. By Jun Jie Du. I Love Hair!

A line is the center of all connections.  There are three different types of lines: horizontal, vertical and diagonal.  The line is the most important foundation of all shapes and designs, from architectural to interior design, from product design to communication design, and from fashion design to hair design.

To achieve your desired shape you must first build a strong foundation in order to move on to the next level.  To achieve a strong foundation you must go back to the basic shape of lines and geometry.

The human body is a perfect example.  Our body is the most beautiful geometric and organic creation of lines.

Study, learn and understand the true beauty of all lines and shapes.

Enjoy the art of Hair!!!
